Additional Notes: Mill Creek Valley RR was a local name Curry Brothers Lumber Co. operated the railroad as in 1919 for about 4-5 months when Laurel River Logging Co. stopped operations on Madison County RY, including its service to Curry Brothers Lumber Co. When Broad River Lumber Co. bought out the Laurel River Logging Co. in 11-1919, including the two Shays leased to Curry Brothers Lumber Co., the railroad was renamed French Broad RR and operated by Broad River Lumber Co..
