Additional Notes: Some sources state this Shay was built with two 8x12 cylinders. Lima records show three 8x12 cylinders. However the Shay reported with this sn was photographed both in Iowa and at Wheaton, IL in 1944, as subsequent owner Deckert & McDowell Construction Co.'s #SS-141. At that time it appeared to be a 33-2 type Shay, equipped with three 10x10 cylinders. The Shay was brought to Wheaton for use on a ballasting contract, but was never used in Illinois and was scrapped at Wheaton, IL.
